So I'm back in Ohio for Christmas with the family, and I decided to see if Big Lots had anything good in their cheapy movie area...to my surprise, it was packed with 4/$10 movies that were fantastic! Has anyone else gotten winners at Big Lots or similar discount stores?? I'd love to see what you've found!

This is my list from tonight's venture:

Easter Parade
Barbara Stanwyck Double Feature : To Please a Lady and Jeopardy
Footlight Parade
Cabin in the Sky
Gold Diggers of 1933
Horror Double Feature : I Walked With a Zombie and The Body Snatcher
Angels with Dirty Faces
Ziegfeld Follies
The Garbo Silents (TCM) - Flesh and the Devil, The Mysterious Lady, The Temptress
City for Conquest
The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer
Holiday Affair

I picked up the Deluxe Edition (in the tin box) of "King Kong" at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $7.99. 2 discs, documentaries, remaster print, and a booklet. Great price.

Our BIG LOTS has them for $3 each. Good deal! So far I've scored:

White Heat 1946 (James Cagney and Virginia Mayo) - awesome gangster flick.
The Roaring Twenties 1939 (James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart)
Key Largo 1948 (Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall)
A John Wayne 4 pack that includes They Were Expendable, Back to Bataan, Flying Leathernecks, and Operation Pacific
Best Foot Forward 1943 (Lucille Ball)

I want to go back for The Cincinnati Kid and Angels in the Outfield.

Wow! I have the King Kong one with all the extra material and it came in a gorgeous metal box. $10 I think. Where I live, I do not believe there are stores called "Big Lots."
