Going to LA

I will be in Los Angeles from the 23rd to the 27th to look at law schools but should have plenty of time to look around. From what I have read on this forum, there are a lot of great vintage clothing stores in LA. I would really like to get a vintage suit or blazer, and maybe even a hat if I can find one in my size. Where are the best places to look?

Any chance of you getting there Sunday? I am coming to town and there are a number of us getting together to break bread and have a few cold ones Sunday night. It would be great if you could join us. :beer:

That sounds like great fun, I wish I could do it. However, I already have a plane ticket for Monday and I don't think it can be changed for Sunday.

I do not know any spasifics, but go to a few props stores, it may be fun, that is what I would do.

Vladimir Berkov, these guys wouldn't know where to find the goods. I live in Monrovia and I would be happy to help you if I can. Tell me, where will you be staying? What city and all.

Hollywood has some good shops and so does Long Beach! Your best bet is Long Beach I would say. Hollywood isn't what it was about 5 years ago.

You say that you're leaving on Monday? I think MK is talking about the Sunday before that. Maybe I'm wrong. It would be cool if you could meet with us at the Pub.

Any way, you should check to see if there is a way to change tickets.

Well, apparently the ticket can't be changed unfortunately. It would have been great to meet up with everybody on Sunday though. I am staying at the Hotel Roosevelt, I believe, I think it is in Hollywood. I have never been there before so I am not even sure how far Long Beach and Monrovia are from the Roosevelt.

Well, Monrovia is closer in some ways then Long Beach. Tell you what, I'll PM you my home phone and you can call me and we can plan on a shopping trip!

I do work all day till 4pm but most of the shops in Long Beach close at 6. So, we can try and do something. Maybe Matt can help out too if I get off of work to late. Don't know.

Don't sweat it bud, we'll take care of you! I have a good feeling that I know where the Roosevelt is. It's in Hollywood. It's an old Hotel!
