I translated the first half of the letter:
" I cannot finish, without thinking about this overfilled music, again. All, all, my dearest, is now "ultra", all transcendends endless, on thinking as on doing. No one knows himself anymore, no one comprehends the element, he's floating and acting in, no one the topic he's working on. There can be no question on clean naivity, there is enough naiv stuff.
Young people will be excited much too early and then carried away by the vortex of time. Wealth and velocity is what the world admires and what everyone aspires for... "
To Carl Friedrich Zelter
Weimar, 6th June 1825
