Would it ever! I won't use it here through deference to the one who discovered it but I am most certainly going to copy it and use it elsewhere! Great cartoon.

I need to stop checking into this thread. It has me searching eBay for pith helmets for crying out loud. :eusa_doh:

Excellent!

Sarge, by all means go ahead and use it, I doubt I'll be changing mine anytime soon.
You could probably try a portion of this one too.

Hi

I got rid of my Pith helmet after wearing it oh, about 2 minutes total in 4 years. Personally, I thought it made me look like I was under a toad stool. I probably won't try again. The Boss of the Plains, Campaign hats (Montana Peak), and Campaign hat (roughrider) meet the outdoors needs for me.

I have one from The Village Hat shop, but would have to dig for a photo. I do not wear it often. I did see this photo today though and thought I'd post it here

OMG! The Spirit of Khaki! My son had a tee-shirt like that that a friend at his boarding school brought home from Indonesia and gave to him. I've wanted a poster of that for twenty years and here it is, slightly reworded. Damn, now all I have to do is find an oversized printer to run me out a poster size print that I can frame and hang in my trophy room. FedEx won't touch it for fear of copyright infringement. I wonder if I just changed the wording via photo shop . . .

Hey, Oldsarge, let us know how you get on, I want one too :D. May try to use that t-shirt paper and a old t-shirt to see how that works.

Well, the Spirit of Khaki tee is long, long gone but that Banana Republic cover is going down to my favorite camera store this week for discussion. If we can change the wording and a few details (like reversing one or more of the vignettes) I'll let everyone know. Maybe Tuttles will do a limited run of them and sell them rolled up in tubes through the mail. It could hang across the room from the Vargas' print of Diana and her hounds. Gotta love it!

Sarge, here is the site that it came from for any other inspirations. Abandoned Republic.

And of course the page with their Pith Helmet. Back when Banana Republic was cool.

Looks like they are all in their greybacks too.

Back in the day, Banana Republic's catalog was the best thing to come in the mail each month. Today, BR has devolved to the equivalent of mauve underwear and limp wrists. "Oh, I thaaaaaayyyyyyy . . . "
