Getting the Wrong hat from a Hat check

Someone a while back had referred to a movie and saw hat being checked, wondering if you received a receipt…and…if you ever felt secure doing so or would someone take/get your hat. There were different replies and as I recall (though I may be wrong) a couple of people indicated that folks knew their hats and wouldn’t do that etc. In that regard I wanted to share this…I have found two of these in vintage hats from different areas of the country.

That place is still there, but as far as I know they only sell western hats now.
