Curious if anyone here has had a leather jacket relined, and if so how expensive it was, how'd it turn out, etc? There's a jacket I am thinking of picking up, but really don't like the lining. Wondering about getting it relined with a cotton plaid, wool tartan, or perhaps red drill. Any experiences..?

If you can, go with the original maker.

Probably it will be more expensive than you want to put into it. Unless you don't care about money, or the jacket is your holy grail, keep looking.

I had a leather coat relined a few years ago because the lining was shot after a dozen years. It ran me about $100 bucks at a local tailoring shop. Turned out beautifully.
