German Feldmutze vintage shop bargain !

I picked this up today for a princely 4 pounds...

It's pure wool and perfect for winter fishing trips

Looks unissued and is dated inside 1965...but exact WW2 styling...

In southern Germany the feldmutze is pretty much the German farmer's equivalent to the American farmer's feed cap. I used to see them pretty frequently. I picked up a dark green woolen one myself at a clothing store in Nordlingen back in the early 1980s. I think it cost me all of 12 marks. (about 4 bucks at the time)
