Ludwig Skrivanek Graz, Hutfabrikation, no paper label, measures 58 cm, Wool or Wool - Fur, possibly early to 1930s. I had no idea from the photos that the felt was a melange of colors. Also that it had an intact wind cord. I do not have any information on the production capabilities of Ludwig Skrivanek Graz Hutfabrikation. Anton and Josef Pichler were the famous Graz Hat companies but I was very happy to find this less known company. I have to say this Stiff Felt is already one of my favorites.

Splendid hat, Steve. Some serious quality hatmaking can be witnessed there.

Mayser Spezial homburg in grey. Size 58 with the brim at about 6cm and the crown a substantial 12cm at the center dent. An older one it seems, judging by the liner and textured sweatband. Late forties or early fifties I think. Sold by Albert Wentzel of Lünen, Germany. From what I gather the shop lasted from 1855 for about a hundred years.

Finally took better pictures of the Hückel Incroyable I shared a while back. For those interested I'm looking to move on either to sell or trade. It's 59cm or thereabouts and just too big for my 57cm head even with lots of foam - so rather see it go to a home where it can be enjoyed.

This one was sitting on a mannequin in a vintage store and caught my eye. Sometimes things are meant to be.
Echter Mayser wildleder (suede/chamois finish) in a size 61 with a contrasting narrow ribbon and brim binding. Bound brim at just under 7cm and crown 10,5cm at the center dent. The hand to the felt is fabulous and I really like the proportions of this hat.

Great hat, Stefan. The colors are great. I like big proportioned hats, but I also like diversity and this isn’t a stingy! Very nice!

Thank you, Brent. I was very glad to have found this one with its different finish. Certainly doesn't feel or look like a stingy. The proportions put it in stratoliner territory I guess.
