FOR those who appreciate the finest in gentlemen’s footwear, here is a unique opportunity to purchase a pair of hardly worn prestigious English Churches in a beautiful tan cape buck (suede).Since 1873, the choice footwear of heads of state, royalty and the rich & famous on both sides of the Atlantic.
These handcrafted ‘custom grade’ bench made shoes take up to ten weeks to craft and around 250 separate operations by craftsmen in the famous Northamptonshire factory.
The classic 1930’s styled half brogue punch caps beloved of style icon, Edward (VIII), Prince of Wales, have a stitch welted leather sole and are lined in the finest glove hide in a rare UK SIZE 13 G / US SIZE 13.5 – 14.
Purchased only last year from the Jermyn Street shop in London, they have only been worn a handful of times due to being slightly too large. The cobbler’s initials are still freshly inscribed on the inside.
Current retail price is £300 (UK), $600 (US).
