I bought this pair of ‘Levis’ from a charity shop. They’re a great fit with the sort of high rise that works well with short vintage leather jackets but have several odd features which make me think they’re hooky? What do you think to the CEN zipper, USA style rivets and double belt loops?

Not a massive expert but they surely look dodgy.

As far as I know, the 1954 501z model made by LVC has a talon zipper although that could have been replaced. The 501 behind the main button I’m pretty sure is off as well. The iconic Valencia Street factory would be 555.

Can’t see very well the rivets but they look off too.

What does the white label in the inside say? You should be able to get the full model code from there.

Might be some pre LVC iteration though.

It’s really washed out so practically illegible but you can read ‘made in Europa’ (not Europe), so I think hooky. Shame if they are because they’re exceedingly well made and the most comfortable pair I own. They’d sell well under the ‘hooky’ name - whatever that is? They don’t need to pretend to be Levis.

Made in Europa/Europe surely isn’t a proper label. There always is the country of origin on any legit product, the continent is a little vague!

Europa is a moon of Jupiter, so I'd say that your jeans are an out of this world, super rare collectible. Congratulations and wear them well.
My first thoughts too but there’s a denim jean factory in Prata Italy - called Europa - probably too tenuous a link though?
