A hipster's guide to hats. You know it is because they don't talk about function at all.

In all fairness, I don't remember the guides of yore discussing function as such, where the goal is to be a guide on size and shape.
I never use those guides on ratios as the 'right ' type of hats for my mug just don't ring my bell. I've got to like a hat as an object first, I've got to be attracted to it, want to wear it; so I couldn't care less whether or not some dudes have decided it isn't right for my physique, I've got a thing going on with the hat & that"s all that matters.

:arated:To me a good looking hat looks good on any size or shape. If I thought anything it would be that low tapered crowns with stingy brims look good on no one. My focus is on the hat not how I look in it. I assume I don't look good and the hat isn't going to make or break that.
But, hey, if these guidelines give people the confidence to get into hats that's a good thing.
If I like the hat and the way it looks on me, I wear it. It's that simple.
