I have a vintage Stetson Stratoliner in an unusual color and size 7 1/2 that I’m interested in trading or maybe selling. Although the photos don’t show it well, this hat is actually green. I would describe it as army green. The reason I say that is I noticed it is almost the same color as some US Army rifle cases I have. The rifle cases are described as OD Green. I believe the hat was made in the 1940’s but I’m no expert on that. I’ll let you decide for yourself based on the pictures. It is in pretty good shape with no moth holes or significant stains on the felt. The liner does have some sweat stains but is not too bad. When I purchased it there was a lot of sizing tape behind the sweatband. As a result the felt is a little crumpled around the base of the crown. It could probably use a reblocking and a good cleaning. However, it is a nice looking hat with some character as it is. All I have done to it is remove the sizing tape and give it a good brushing. The sweatband is in good shape and is still nice and supple. The sweatband has the reorder number that is on the red sticker stamped on the back of the leather band. The hat is a little big on me and I don’t particularly care for the color. I would like to trade it for a vintage Stetson Stratoliner in Silverbelly size 7 3/8 or a small 7 1/2. My actual size is 7 3/8 Long Oval. I would like to see if anybody has a trade available before I put a sale price on it. If interested send me a PM. Thank for looking.
