Up for grabs is what I believe to be a Sears Hercules half-belt crosszip made out of horsehide - there is no label of maker or hide type, but I own plenty of vintage horsehide, and this leather is indeed horse. I narrowed in on the manufacturer of this particular jacket after seeing an identical one, albeit in very poor condition, adorned with a Sears/Hercules label on ebay. The main zip is a period replacement Conmar. If you look closely at the photos, you can see the red mismatched stitching of the main zip. What I really love about this jacket model is the sleeve cuffs - they're zipper cuffs (Conmar - original) with button strap adjustments. Both sets of cat-eye buttons (bakelite?) are intact and appear original too. The chest zip is the original Talon. All zippers work perfectly! The hand warmer pockets and chest pocket linings are solid. The interior quilted lining is in good condition. The sleeve lining is ok with some minor separation around the left armpit and the interior cuffs are tattered - none of the sleeve lining issues interfere with wearing the jacket comfortably. The leather itself has insane amounts of natural patina - the only true wear to the leather would be on the left shoulder - still solid. The mouton collar is excellent condition, no real damage to report.

This jacket is in remarkable condition for its age IMO. I found the original size tag inside the chest pocket - marked size 38. If this fit me, it would never be for sale.

Asking $575 (includes shipping) anywhere in CONUS. Payment via Paypal "friends style" preferred.

Measurements while zipped:

Pit to Pit: 20.5"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 18”
Shoulder seam to sleeve cuff: 25"
Back of collar seam to bottom hem of jacket: 24”
Hem width: 19"

PM to claim and I will send my PayPal email.

Awesome jacket. Looks to have nice patina but not with much actual hard wear. A Cross Zip Half Belt is NOT a jacket you see everyday. As opposed to a toned down moto style cross zip (that has fewer pockets or no D pocket etc.), this appears to have all the elements of a traditional half belt with the only change being that it's a cross zip. So its got the 2 handwarmers and single chest pocket w the cross zip. I really like this jacket style. I wish it were bigger.
