I've had this jacket for approximatey 30 years, purchased new from Vanson. It has been worn fewer than a dozen times, and not on the bike. It is real, Made in the USA, thick Horsehide, and Vanson has ceased using horsehide many years ago. It isn't even really broken in, and will last for generations, truly an heirloom garment. Looks absolutely amazing, and not the jacket to wear if you don't want people to ask you about it! It has just been professionally cleaned and conditioned by local Houston Shoe Hospital, at a cost of $250. This is a heavy jacket, with excellent brass hardware. Incredible patina that will only get better with use. Size 44, and runs true to size. A bargain at $600, plus shipping.

Per requests for measurements:

Front Top of Zipper to Bottom of Zipper: 20 1/4"
Pit to Pit: 25"
Back of Collar to Bottom of Jacket: 27"
Shoulder to Bottom of Sleeve: 24"
Shoulder (across the top) 20"

In dress shirts, I wear a 34" sleeve, which is measured from the center of the neck. You can see how the sleeve fits me in the pic below.

Sorry guys, I forgot to put those measurements in the initial post, but just added them. Here they are:

Front Top of Zipper to Bottom of Zipper: 20 1/4"
Pit to Pit: 25"
Back of Collar to Bottom of Jacket: 27"
Shoulder to Bottom of Sleeve: 24"
Shoulder (across the top) 20"

In dress shirts, I wear a 34" sleeve, which is measured from the center of the neck. You can see how the sleeve fits me in the pic below.

There are a few spots where the collar folds that the finish has worn and it's a bit of a suede surface (see pic). Odd because it has literally only been worn a dozen times or less. I've called Vanson and it sounds like it's something they'll fix. I've sent in some old motorcycle jackets for repairs and they've never charged me, but YMMV. Thanks!
