I recently purchased this one from a fellow lounge member. I have to say I have hardly worn it since. It was kind of an impulse buy and the jacket is just a tad too small for my liking.

For reference, I am 5 feet 8 inches tall at 150 lbs. My chest measures roughly 41.5" and my waist is about 31". I also have a size 40 Comet (newer, slightly longer version) which fits a little roomy but much better IMO.

Here is a link to hi-res pictures with measurements: https://niided.smugmug.com/Comet-vanson/

These pictures were uploaded by the previous seller but the jacket looks exactly the same right now. I'll try to add my own pictures here but Photobucket is being a bit of a drag at the time of posting.

I'm selling this for 300 shipped worldwide

The Comets are such cool jackets. I'd love to own one just on the account of the length. Fantastic price! Sadly, 38 woulda been too small for me. Best of luck.

Apologies, I'm gonna update that as soon as I get home. The link in the first post does contain pictures, though. It's just the Photobucket images that won't show.

I have to do a quick, unsolicited commercial for the Comet. I've had mine for just over three years now and it is (finally) well broken in. For those of you who aren't familiar with Vansons, they take a couple seasons to break in but when they do they're like a second skin. In fact, it's so comfortable I often wear it indoors unless I'm there to stay for a good while. It's my favorite casual wear jacket and I've even worn it with a tie to "smart casual" events. It gets lots of compliments, too. There are no underarm footballs or bellows-like bi-swing back constructions which gives it a very 50s-style slim profile. This also makes it a little restricting on the bike, but I have worn it on short trips into the city for dinner or meeting friends. I've been seriously thinking of investing in another one in brown octagon leather. Great jacket.

I completely agree, I have another Comet in size 40, dark brown cowhide. No other jacket receives as much wear as my Comet, it's so comfortable and versatile. Even though I've had it for 2.5 years, I'm still working on breaking it in. One tough jacket.
