Received these July last year I recall. Waited a loooong time but now I got plantar fasciitis so I’m just keeping one pair from Viberg. I ordered the cowboy leather sole but you can get a local cobbler to add a rubber layer if you prefer, now is a perfect time, it’s already somewhat roughened up.
fits US 8 and 8.5, the right boot ankle is a bit tighter than the left but no issue slipping in. Very secure at instep (in other words they do fit like cowboy boots rather than engineer).
I wear Alden 8.5, and my foot is on the wider side so there’s sufficient width and maybe ¾” toe room at front.
