This hat is from the Broken Hill Collection of the Outback Trading Company. I think it is connected to Akubra, but I might be wrong about that detail. The felt is hard like an Akubra. I like it, but it's the same story as the other safari type of hat I posted: the top of my head doesn't fit in the safari bash comfortably.
The exact model of the hat is "Whit Sunday". I thought the "Whit" was a typo for "White", but it's not. It's someplace in Australia. It's 60cm. I have an Akubra that is 59cm. The 59 fits me, and the 60 is slightly large. Generally speaking, 7 3/8 is my size. If you are 7 3/8, or slightly larger, then it's a good bet this will fit.
I grabbed this off ebay and I don't recall what I paid for it (or for the shipping). The tags were on it when I got it. Unfortunately, I snipped them off. The hat is essentially new since I have never worn it except to try it on... AFTER I removed the tags... DUH. :eusa_doh:
It's lined, vented, and is a nice light tan color. The hat band looks like leather. A handsome hat.
