For sale from my collection is another excellent condition original USN issued G-1 Flight Jacket in a rare size 48. The jacket has no issues and is made by Imperial. I think it’s a 1974 production but the contract label was cut making it difficult to determine the year of production. Since Imperial only had two contracts, one in 1974 and one in 1976 … take your pick. I believe the hide to be goatskin as it is very supple and thinner than cow hide. Size 48 in these types of jackets are very rare and difficult to find.
The collar was a mouton collar that was replaced with a new mouton collar by Steve Sellers . Steve does outstanding work as you can see from the photos .
