Exclusive only to the European - French, more precisely - market, Schott's version of the Aero Highwayman, model #630, also know as Schott Highwayman as the two jackets are virtually identical.

Clearly not my jacket - I purchased this for a friend, doesn't fit him. Selling him on his behalf, he's hoping to get what he paid back + a little extra so there's slight profit to be had from this sale. Just a warning if anyone's got any issues with that.

I've seen a few of these jackets before, each was beastlier than the other and this one tops them all.

One million pounds heavy, this monstrosity is built from leather I've only seen matched by Walter Dyer/Natal leathers and we're talking barely here. Unlike CXL, this full-grain naked cowhide is dreamy soft and pliable so the jacket is so comfortable it makes you wanna sleep in it. I'm not kidding, it's softer than most denim jackets!

I won't bore you with details 'cause as I stated, this is basically a Highwayman, only more of a premium-grade Highwayman, as the jacket is definitely an advanced model of the original, so to call it.

Some of the neater, noteworthy features include the removable, zippered, warm tartan lining & a thick-ass removable snap-on collar - Something Aero's version would benefit from!

I see it was produced only in 1994 for Italy...this is a gorgeous design, why aren't there more? Wow.

$40 to the US, free to EU. This jacket is 4 kg heavy or so. I'm not kidding when I say it's a mastodon so the shipping is twice as much but let's try to make it accessible to everyone this way.

There's a lot of talk for what market this jacket was produced but I read something about it being innitially made for a distributor in France which makes sense to me because the whole country seems to gone nuts for the brand during the 1990's. There's gotta be as much Schott Perfectos circulating France used market as there are in the States.

Although it went on for a few years (later versions were lighter & different, last one was made from shiny calf I think), I have no idea why they haven't continued the production of this jacket. Doesn't make sense to me as they don't really have a perfect alternative. This is a honest, working jacket, one you can rely on.

Many die-hard Schott fans aren't aware about the existence this model as it never appeared on the American market, even though it was made in the USA. Same as with many Japan-exclusive styles.
