This was a custom order, I had waited and waited and it finally came on my birthday! Pure coincidence, but as with many highly deliberate plot, the result failed to satisfy. In this case, they made the sleeve a bit too large and too long. It’d fit someone with a larger built overall. There’s room on the upper back too (great for forward movement). The sleeves are actually normal, but I had expected the 1947 to be a slim jacket hence the let down.
Shoulder 19”
pit 22.5
back 25
Sleeves 26.
Medium weight cowhide with heavy nylon lining. Very ergonomic.

$1000 shipped USA

Can Langlitz remake the jacket to your specs? Not modify this one, but take this one back and make you a new one.

Have had a number of very positive outcomes/experiences with Langlitz. Haven't had to send any back...but I'm sure if I did they'd make it right.

What is the width of the bottom hem?
What is the width of the back panel without including the side gussets?

Thanks

Wow one of these has been on my mind…was planning on deciding after I receive a vest from them

Can you also provide sleeve width over the bicep and at the cuff?

These numbers sound really close to my measurements. Is it possible to get some images of the measurements to insure how I think they're being taken with how they actually are? Then I can compare them to my Langlitz. Is the 21" hem measurement only the front waistband, or does that include the gussets (therefore it's 42" circumference)? Also, what is the front length from neck opening to bottom of waistband? Do you have a belly measurement (as in where a person's navel is)? Lastly, with this not having a bi-swing back, how is the range of motion (I ride with 18" apes on my bike)?

Can you give your personal measurements? As in what size shirt/suit jacket size do you wear?

Sorry for all the questions. Obviously this is a lot of money, but if the numbers work I'm game. Always wanted a '47!

Thanks!

I’ll try to take photos of how I measure but I use a tailors soft tape; and had to hold the jacket Taut, so the photo willl not represent very well but you’ll get an idea.
I’ll measure the front neck dip down to waistband.
range of motion is not an issue at all, L is know to be mobile and one reason I’m selling this is the extra room on the back (just a preference.
lastly, I am six foot one, 208 pounds. My shirt size is 42 chest, 17.5 neck, 34/35. Suit size is 44 mostly.
for Aero jackets I wear 44, Schott I wear 46 nowadays.
my chest is 42, Jean waist is 34.

I lift weights, most jackets are a bit tight around the shoulders. My shoulder/deltoid circumference is 53”

Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to images. Sounds like you're a bit larger than me, but we're the same shirt size (except I have about a 16" neck). I'm not a weightlifter and have no idea what my shoulder/deltoid measurement is. LOL! Depending on fit/cut I'm either a 42 or 44 suit jacket. I'm wondering if this might be a bit too large now given that you said there's too much room in the back. Though, I'll wait for the other measurements and images and then A/B against my Columbia. Thanks again!

as for the hem, with or without the gusset doesn’t seem to make much difference.
