FS: new Langlitz 1947 Columbia

Okay. Most of these numbers are pretty close to mine. For clarity, the chest photo doesn't show the actual measurement on the right side as the image cuts it off. Would you mind getting that? Also, you commented in earlier posts that shoulder width was 19" and then the yoke was 19.5" I just want to confirm how I understand those measurements. Shoulder would be straight across at the very top, and yoke would be the "v" seam on the back. Can you give me the belly measurement across the front (again, it'd be near the belly button area), Lastly, how you measured sleeve length.

Sorry again for all the questions. I truly appreciate the help. I think this just might fit. Only thing that's really sticking out is the cuff being about a half inch too big and the front being a half-inch too long. Not too bad otherwise.

Please do so. I have an early 50s green label Columbia and would like to compare jackets. Mine is close to the same size may be a trimmer fit. Ross and later Langlitz have always gone the custom bespoken route over stock sized jackets

Very cool, I bet that green label is awesome! USPS is stating the jacket will be here Friday (hopefully sooner). Here's to having my fingers crossed regarding size.

No problem. I'll have my wife take one when she can and get it posted (I'm too old to take a selfie and feel good about myself). I have to say, I'm pretty impressed how much freedom there is in this jacket with no bi-swing back. I thought it would be more restrictive but it's actually just as easy to move in as the standard Columbia. I personally like the look of the back without the bi-swing better on the '47.

Here's a couple of quick fit pics (course after a meal big). I'm pretty happy with the overall fit but will have Johnson Leather slim down the cuffs so they fit tighter while riding my motorcycle (big fan of JL's work, pricing, and quick turn around). Leather weight is medium, but it's on the thinner side of their medium. The liner is what Langlitz used to call their heavy weight liner but when I called the other day they said they only offer one liner now, which they said this was it (may have JL swap it out for a satin/softer liner).

Interestingly, I've ordered two custom jackets from Langlitz and this one made for someone else actually fits me the best. My wife does leather working (used to own a leather business) so she's gonna make me a belt this winter to go with it.

One last thing I want to mention... I'd like to put forth a recommendation for Regius. I asked Reg more questions than I can remember so that I could make a good decision when purchasing this jacket. He was very patient by answering them all and shipped the jacket quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him again.

That's a great looking jacket. If I had my order to do over again, I would do this rather than the padded Timberline/Sidewinder that I did.

and, I'm not that surprised sometimes one gets something meant for another
that turns out to be more suitable for him.
