Sadly for me, it is a true 40, not a "vintage 40", even a "large 40", so it must go. I take a modern 38 and "vintage 40", and this is just a tad large for me. See measurements. These had the best horsehide of the day (1950s), and this example has NOS-condition liner. I kid you not, the liner looks like it has never been worn. Is original, too - see pics. Even has a paper size tag inside a pocket. Hide is beautiful brown. Waist elastics work. Time capsule jacket, really. The only fault is a corroded non-functioning pocket flap snap - an easy fix.
