Not the thread I find easy to make. Figured this to be my ultimate trucker jacket but the size is just off for me. It's objectively Large, not Medium.
Levi's beige (or creme) leather Type-3 or Trucker in a size M.
$180 + shipping. PP, FF.
☛INFO
Very interesting leather, something I haven't seen before. Substantial and relatively thick, it also behaves & drapes exactly like textile. Ultimately soft. Almost light suede-ish finish, though it's definitely NOT suede since you can see natural grain & hair follicles all over the jacket. Either tanned that way or very lightly sanded.
The leather has begun to tan at the edges so I suspect it might end up darker, with proper use (that it deserves).
Another noteworthy thing is the heavy blanket lining, made in 100% wool (not even Iron Heart is using pure wool!) which is something I'll miss most about this jacket. Sleeves are lined in quilted rayon. Very warm jacket.
All in all, this is a truly superb choir jacket in every way with some premium features that I don't see even even the priciest alternatives having. I can tell you with absolute certainty that nobody will be able to build you a better Type-3. Different hide, sure, but overall quality, construction, features - No way.
Plus I have NEVER seen one like it. Ever!
☛CONDITION
Outer shell and lining are mint, perfect, pristine. As stated, some darkening around the edges, pockets, cuffs and that's it.
The lining, however, is a bit frayed at the cuffs. Nothing major, doesn't affect anything & ultimately fixable - But - It's there and of course needs to be disclosed. Thanks to Marc for taking the photos of the fraying, so I don't have to, lol.
