I bought these used a month or two ago used because I’ve been curious about engineers but I didn’t want to spend a grand or more exploring a style I might decide isn’t for me. Turns out I love these boots…but they don’t fit. My Brannock device is 11.5C, and I’ve had good luck sizing down a full brannock in the past, especially with Lofgrens, but I can barely get these 10.5Ds on, and when I do, my toes and heel are flush with the front and back of the boot. I’ve worn them a couple times, tried to convince myself, and nope! They just don’t fit. I think these would be great for someone with an 11D Brannock measurement. I’m already exploring options to replace them!
Condition - you might notice these boots look really dark for natural CXL - I don’t know why that is, as they were like this when I got them. I suspect someone used mink oil to darken them. Jake at “Almost Vintage Style” commented that they’re darker than his, which have spent 10 years in Southern California, so I’m pretty sure they didn’t get this way naturally. Regardless, the color’s REALLY pretty. The soles are in great shape, as one would expect, given that they’re American-made Vibrams. The only thing that’s changed since I got them is that I added two new buckle holes on the ankle straps (I measured the distance, so they match the other holes).
Price - I’m flipping them at the price I got ‘em for, plus shipping - $665 shipped in CONUS. Payment to be made by PayPal Friends & Family.
