Anybody know the model number on this? Got some screen caps from Narvik movie on Netflix. French troops 1940 fighting in Norway. More of a work shirt sort of cut than usual higher waisted bomber style.

Thanks for the movie tip! I tend to follow the WW2 genre closely but this one had slipped past my radar. Watched it today, it was pretty well made. From the recent war movies I would also recommend watching The Unknown Soldier (2017) and All Quiet on the Western Front (2022). Both outstanding.

That particular soldier is supposed to portrait a Chasseur Alpin, a French Army Alpine ranger. Therefore it makes sense him to wear a "field jacket cut" uniform that keeps him both warm and mobile.

The company who provided the costumes for the movie are called Hoff Lederwerk. The French jackets are repros made inhouse as they couldn't source originals. They don't sell the jackets but might give you more background info if you're interested.
