Found a Great Local Alterations/Seamstress!

Finally!! Now I have someone who can perform all those minor-medium clothing,suit and jacket alterations with an experienced and skilled hand. This woman has her own shopfront alterations business so it`s not like when you drop off something at the cleaners for "alterations". I went by her business this afternoon and we must have talked for over a half hour about everything from the technical aspect of what can and can`t be done(physically AND price-wise) to a given garment to vintage and current fashion and style trends,etc. I got a very basic jacket/sports coat proper fit primer and now I feel confident about picking out those thrift store/Goodwill/Etc. jacket,coat and/or suit candidates for my wardrobe. Her prices are quite reasonable and I have seen examples of the work she does(as well as read reviews by customers)so I am excited about having my own "tailor" on staff. hehe

I guess technically she`s not a "tailor"(?) but she can handle all the basic alterations and customizations I will ever need. I`ll post an update next month after I take my latest Goodwill tweed sportsjackets in for a tune up(sleeve shortening,collar allignment and button tightenting).
