For trade or sale, Vintage 1950's Stetson.

I just recieved a beautiful Stetson Open Road made in the 1950's, problem is it was advertised on ebay as a 7 1/2 and it turns out to be a 7 1/4.

Needless to say it does not fit me.

It is a beautiful hat in the original box with the price on the original receipt.

I would like to either trade it for a vintage Stetson in 7.5 or get what I paid for it, 156.25
I will pay for shipping.

Have you considered returning it? Auction states that returns are accepted, with buyer paying shipping; however, if it was not advertised correctly, ebay Buyer Protection should cover shipping if the seller won't do it. I just went through this with a similar (non-hat) situation on ebay and was fully reimbursed when I received an item that was not the size advertised.

I was bidding on the hat as well- I asked whether or not it had ever been worn, they said no- but no mention of size; sorry that I didn't
ask that question-must be a killer hat! If it is a Long Oval, I may be interested in getting it upsized to a 7 3/8 L/O if there's room.
If not-you have every right to send that thing back-but I honestly think that if it's in pristine condition, you can get more for it here on the
Lounge with some good photos.

The box clearly has 7 1\4 marked.... that would have been my first red flag.
