For Sale my Willis & Geiger Bureau of Aeronautics Summer Flying Jacket NA-1.
This is a copy of the BuAero 37J1B.
This is a well tailored jacket in excellent condition - no rips, tears, stains or smells. The cloth is 100% cotton Bedford cord and an excellent option for a summer weight jacket.
This is a smart, trim and simple silhouette with large bellows pockets to the front of the torso.
The olive drab lining is clean and intact with no staining at neck or pits. There is a minor issue: the previous owner has written 'Mitchell' in black pen on the liner (see photo), but this is not too obtrusive and not visible in use.
The knits to the sand coloured cuffs, waistband and neck knit are all in excellent condition - elastic and with no holes/pulls. The quality of the knits is somewhere between those of RMNZ and ELC.
All the green resin buttons are present (to collar and pockets) and firmly attached and have a good dished profile.
The zipper is a good copy of a period 30's Talon (a little shiny, but in keeping) - works smoothly and engages easily.
I wear a vintage 44 in most things and as a 46 it's just a bit too baggy/wide on the shoulders (i.e. it fits true to size as a 46).

Front length, throat to bottom of waistband 24" (zipper length = 28")
Back length (nape of neck to bottom of waistband) = 27"
