I have a letter dated February 19, 1923, from Will H. Hays, president, Motion Picture Producers & Distributors of America. (Yes, that Will Hays, of the Hays Production Code.) The letter is to a Mr. Zach C. Sanderson and is a short personal note, not a business letter. It is on Motion Picture Producers & Distributors of America letterhead. This came with a bundle of letters from Zach Sanderson and I will include the others as provenance.
I really am not sure what to ask for this... I've seen similar Hays letters marked $250, but I honestly don't know if that is fair for this. I'll start with $150. I am interested in hearing offers though! Tell me what you think this is worth, and what is fair, and we'll go from there!
