Purchased from Ken Calder at Aeroleather. No tag but its the real deal. Assuming early version since there are no panels. Looks awesome, has fair amount of wear. See photos.
In re measurements - reminder - the jacket is thick!
Chest - Pit to Pit Straight Across: 24 inches
Sleeves: 25 inches
Shoulders Straight Across Front: 21 inches
Front Length: 22 inches
Back Length: 24 inches
Bottom width/waist: 23 1/2 inches
Front zipper works but notice zipper tape has separated just a bit from jacket seam at the bottom. Zipper to zipper tape is solid.
Arm zips work but go easy. I never really moved them more than to see if they worked. One of the arm zip pulls is a replacement by Aero. I believe all else is original.
Collar has wear and some fur patches missing/worn.
Left shoulder has some surface flaking but solid. Nothing has flaked since I have owned it.
There are a few patch repairs.
This is a careful wearer. I have had no issues wearing it.
Painted yellow initials under armpits GB or BG. This was a common practice for crews to identify who’s gear was who’s.
I am selling this in good faith and/with my knowledge of jackets. Again, its been a good occasional wearer. I can’t guarantee that if a new owner wears it hard, that it won’t get damaged. Common sense here is the key. Not sure a better deal for an original Irvin can be had!
