After much internal debate, I have decided to let go of my vintage Dobbs Fifth Avenue. I like it enough that it has taken me several years to convince myself that I don't look right in it! :eusa_doh:
It is a deep chocolate brown, with supple but substantial felt. Size 7 1/2 (still true), with a 2" inch overwelted and stitched brim, and 2" black ribbon. The crown seems to be just under 5" open, and currently has a 3 3/4" pork pie bash in it.

The felt responds very well to water shaping, and has been rebashed many times. The felt and ribbon are pretty clean and in perfect condition (no mothing, no discolorations, no weak spots). The only loose stitches are the ones holding the liner in (which are non-essential). No funny odors. Leather sweatband is in supple and shows only minor wear.
I'd like to get $115 shipped within the U.S. but will consider fair offers. I will also entertain trade possibilities in size 7 1/2. I prefer wider brims and taller crowns than this Dobbs.
