Hi all,
For sale Asking price; AUD$700 (as a guide, approx USD$560 / GBP 360)
Payment to be made via PayPal (I will bear the costs)
Postage extra. As an idea, approximately AUD$100, give or take a bit to the USA & UK. This needs to be confirmed based on your location and insurance options.
I will also consider a trade for an Aero Cafe Racer in Black with similar measurements in a similar age / condition.
I recently purchased this beautiful jacket and have since found another Aero Half Belt that better suits my needs. As such, there's no point in owning two very similar jackets.
Made from Aero’s mid weight Goatskin, it is more flexible and (arguably) comfortable than their flagship Horween Front Quarter Horsehide. It is still thick, water resistant and extremely strong, without the heft or ‘armour-like’ qualities of FQHH.
The only point to mention is that to speed up the wear-in process, I did soak the jacket through the washing machine. This process has resulted in a beautiful and slightly aged appearance with a fantastic patina appearing across the jacket. Some colour loss has been experienced on the high points of the jacket, although I believe this adds to the overall character of the jacket.
Please see the pictures as they form part of the description of the jacket. I have taken these in both full sun and 'normal' lighting to illustrate how the warm seal colour looks in different lighting situations.
The jacket was originally purchased in August 2014, so is not yet one year old. Considering that these are built to last several lifetimes, this represents a great buy.
Being a standard size 42, with added length in the body and sleeves, this should fit most people who are around or just over 6ft tall.
The jacket's approximate measurements are (taken zipped up, laying flat);
•Size; 42
•Shoulders; 19"
•Pit to pit (across the front); 23.5"
•Back (seam at base of collar to hem); 26.5"
•Arms; 26.5"
This particular jacket has the following options;
•Herringbone Tweed wool liner
•Inside pocket
The hardware is Nickel with Talon zippers & a diamond zip pull for the chest pocket. The pockets are lined in Moleskin for warmth and durability.
The jacket is located in Sydney, Australia & I am happy to post anywhere in the world, although postage and customs duties are the buyer’s responsibility. I will only post via a method which is tracked and requires a signature upon receipt.
Please do send me a message if you have any questions at all.
