now it´s time to clean up my jackets again!

here is a german fighter pilot jacket

you have the opportunity to bid on a very nice flight jacket which were worn from german fighter pilots in WW2 like Werner Mölders, Helmut Wink, Erich Hartmann and other pilot aces. These jackets were bought private and step by step integrated from the pilots by them self. this type of jacket were worn from 1940-1945. The jacket is made of very strong, thick and very smooth black cow leather.

This collector´s item is in enormously good condition how you can see on the pictures. The zippers are all equipped with leatherstraps to make it easier to open it with gloves. They work so good, as on there first day. This model has two breastpockets with zippers, two inside pocket, and two pockets for the hands. The jacket has also two slings at the waist, to make it wider or closer. The leather workmanship speaks for the quality of the jacket. The jacket is in such good condition that you can also wear it every day.
The inner lining is made of black silk, which is also in good condition.
What make the flight jacket also any more rare, there are also the original silver buttons from the company „ASSMANN EXTRAFEIN“ and the loops for the shoulderstraps on it!!!

there shouldn´t be any problems because i sold more things to America or Australia. You pay by banktransfer (with BIC and IBAN code) the money take around 4-5 days to my account and then I would send it immediately to the buyer. sending takes around 2 weeks. The shipping costs to you will cost about 38 euros.

It´s about a 52-54 (a modern L)

back length (without collar): about 61cm
breast (under arms) about 53cm
chest measurement: about 103cm

That is a very nice jacket. What kind of leather is it made from? And, is it an original WWII era example or a repro?

The problem with these jackets is that most which appear for sale these days are actually bike jackets, but they are sold as "Luftwaffe" jackets. Without documentary evidence linking a specific jacket to a Luftwaffe pilot I am always sceptical about the claims made about them. Unfortunately there are sellers who add the rank securing buttons and an eagle to an ordinary bike jacket made in the 40s or 50s and in order to sell it as a Luftwaffe flying jacket, thereby securing a high price for the jacket.

to this jacket: i don´t any story or the history. i got this jacket in this condition so i can´t say anything and i don´t write anything if it´s original in this condition or not.
aswatland you are right and thats sad about this kind of jackets. however i collect german luftwaffe items since many years and so i have also some kind of "bike jackets" which are ORIGINAL and i had also the honor to become acquainted with the german flight pilots who wore those jackets!!!

next year i will also have the chance to meet Hajo Hermann, Walter Schuck and Willi Reschke maybe Hans Bob will also be there, because a friend of mine knows them very well.
