I am selling my ELC Irvin. It's an early one, made most likely from Marino fleece which is very soft. The jacket has had little wear and is in superb condition without wear to the fleece, holes, repairs etc.. The reversed sheepskin side is remarkably similar to originals and does not have the smooth finish of most more recent ELC Irvins. The leather sleeve pulls are replacements made from reclaimed leather from the pocket of some flying trousers.

Measurements:
Pit to pit: 24"
Across the shoulders: 20"
Sleeves from shoulder to end of cuff: 25.5"
Back from base of collar to bottom of hem: 25"

ELC no longer make their 1942 pattern using this particular type of fleece, which is a pitty as its so close to originals. I am asking £320 plus postage. If there are no takers it goes on Ebay Sunday night.

Hello Andrew.

I'm new here, a little lost in between the different threads.
I've found a similar ELC irvin 42 a while ago, after having contacted you on ebay about your jacket (which, yes, disappeared from time to time, I remember you told me having problems with ebay policies and the word 'irvin').

You seem a specialist on irvins.
I'd like to find an original wartime irvin that fits me like this one.
Would you suggest size 5 or 6?

One more question, on maintainance:
The ELC I have shows tiny cracks in the fleece (it's about ten years old).
What should I apply to it to prevent from drying in the creases?

thank you very much!
