This is a FANTASTIC hat. I bought it from ebay France. The seller said it was 53 centimeters, but I was hoping that they mis-measured and that it was actually 56 centimeters. When it actually arrived, to my surprise it was not only marked 5 1/2, the inside tag read very very faintly 58 centimeters. So this hat equates to a US 7 1/4. I will say that the hat is a small 7 1/4. Its more like a large 7 1/8. This hat is PITCH BLACK. Pre-war Flechets are rare, and not only is this pre-war, it has the early Flechet sweatband stamp which puts it pre-1933/1934. The pictures speak for themselves. The felt is in incredible shape and I can find NO moth divots, tracks, etc. The ribbon and brim binding are in great shape for their age and only show minor wear.
