Although not a favored brand on this forum, this great looking jacket was just introduced by Flat Head:

I was gonig to say zip-sleeve Highwayman, but yes - that neat fit is much more like the Sheene. What's the background on the brand? It's not one with which I am familiar. Where do they fall in the market?

I thought these guys only made jeans? I first heard of 'em thru Aero, they have a whole section of the site devoted to Flat Head, it's at the Denim page - though there doesn't seem to be anything there at the moment.

It looks killer on the bearded gentleman! I quite like it, more so than the Highwayman perhaps - though I have seen nicer leather. Still, gorgeous jacket.

More 1930's halfbelt if you ask me ..... the sheen has a cafe racer back, the highwayman has a more boxy cut. I guess I'm just not one for short jackets which look too small ( sleeve and back/body length) to me :D

Well made though with some nice features .... pockets are quite far back though and and the cuff and inner sleeve look quite unique.

Wonder who makes it ???

Flat Head is most known for their jeans. That said, FH also offers fantastic shirts (flannels, t-shirts, etc) and outstanding leather jackets. The quality, craftsmanship and detailing of FH's leather jackets are top notch. FH uses Shinki HH -- not to everyone's liking, but nevertheless first rate leather. My sole gripe with FH's jackets is the stiffness of the leather. GW, RMC and Himel Bros. also use Shinki HH, but their leather is slightly more pliable out of the box, as compared to FH's Shinki. On the other hand, FH's Shinki is less stiff and more pliable than Horween FQHH.

I like this new FH jacket, but I am concerned about the shoulder. A 21 inch shoulder is very broad for a 22 inch P2P, and may result in excessive creasing around the arm pits. I am going to try on the FH in the next few days.

The jacket is actually longer than it appears in the photo (the bearded guy is very tall and lean). A 21 inch P2P is 26 inches long in front, and a 22 inch P2P is 27 inches long.

I like the jacket, but I don't like the color. It looks like the brown that Himel used for the Self Edge Herons...What's the price tag?

The "style" of it looks like it could have come from Johnson Leathers. Not unheard of for them to collaborate with other brands.

Anything's possible Nick but I don't think so. It's a generic half-belt and the patterning and cut (including the unfinished inside sleeve hem), the collar configuration and shape and the stitching and hardware look like no Johnson jacket I've ever seen. I'd be happy to be proved wrong, however.

Yes, it's a stretch. But I thought more M-200 variant than half belt!

I really like the look but something about it made me think it was going to be a cheaper option that say an Aero or BK.....lol guess I'm wrong in that regard!

Looks like a nice item but about a grand more than I'd pay.

Yeah. Perceived value of consumer durables is always a very subjective thing, but with the likes of Aero around at significantly less, I'd be disinclined to spend that kind of money on a jacket, unless it was incredibly unique and I just had to have it. (That's assuming I'd ever have that kind of scratch for a single jacket anyhow!).

I had the same reaction.

The Selfedge website has loads of lovely stuff but at almost wall-to-wall 'hmm, think I'll look elsewhere' prices. There's nothing that I see there that can't be had cheaper at roughly equal price: Gustin, Aero, Schott etc.
