Fishing line as wind cord?

Hello!

Couldn't find anything with search function, so hopefully not posted before.

I was wondering if anyone has used a nylon fishing line as wind cord?
I am thinking of maybe fastening one at the back of the hat by the sweatband or maybe just put in a hook in the band and then fasten it to a button or so on jacket.
Would be pretty discreet.

What do you guys think?

I'd just tie the line directly to the back of the bow and hang a Rapala on the other end. Just hook the Rapala to your coat or jacket. A lot easier than a button. Eric

Umm.. Don't use fishing line

Try Stretchrite beading cord. I've used it to replace missing, and add new wind trollys.

I just finished this one tonight. New Ribbon, Bow ( I borrowed one of Art's techniques on the bow) and Wind Cord. You can attach a plain button on the end of the stretchrite then use some of the ribbon to cover the button.

huh, interesting idea. I could imagine that some real heavy sea fishing line might work well.

Personally i've never made use of a wind cord anyway. i guess i've never worn my hat in high wind . . .
