Those Cal are very nice. This particular model is "roomy" for the size. Similar to the Police buco. Very practical for real service work.

Not to confuse these Californians with Cals though. Californians use much thinner hide than Cals. Nice hide, but thinner.

Here's the one I got. Thinner is right - I actually really like how wearable it is for being horsehide. Feels more versatile than my other jackets.

Not all Cal's are thick. I have had some thinner ones. I currently own three Californian police jackets. All of them are thick. Two have white lining and one has an incredibly durable texture lining. Personally, It is the only jacket I have seen with such lining. It was Uplands' police department standard issue to all the transit policemen. I will post photos of both different jackets.

Here is one of mine in the white quilted lining.

I've seen the light colored lining, but never seen a CSC police jacket in Brown. Looks to be 1950s. Nice.
