Finds and Deals - Hat Edition

In the leather jacket section there's a thread that's always on the first page and it's their Finds and Deals - Leather Jacket Edition. I've wondered why there isn't something similar here in the hat forum (and now there is).

Do hat types just want to hog them all or is there a different reason why such a thread hasn't been posted prior?

I think they just disappear immediately. There seem to be dozens of people on eBay at all times looking for hats so any find or deal would be gone by the time you posted.

Interesting. I don't know much about eBay but assumed that hats would turn at the same interval as jackets and the 'other' forum is littered w/ eBay finds.

I'm looking at one now on eBay and sadly, it qualified as a deal up until yesterday when the bidding went crazy. It's a roughly 20 year old Stetson Jones that has the earlier color band rather than the darker band that was introduced after Stetson no longer had the licensing agreement and renamed their hat offer as "Temple".

The seller refers to it as wool but I *think* it's likely fur felt.
