Any Filson experts? Anyone know anything about these hats? Year seams to be about 1920?

Stetson bowler/derby sold through Filson store. Age guesstimate seems appropriate.

There are a couple of tags under the band but don’t really mean much to me. I’ve just never heard of these or seen them anywhere.

As has been mentioned it's a derby hat produced by Stetson and sold at the CC Filson store. Records indicate Filson was at the 1011 First Ave address from 1902-1924. This time frame matches well with details of the hat.

Nice hat! The 1920 date is within the range of possibility, although that red/white factory sticker lasted until around 1940.

It wasn’t a Filson collaboration with Stetson in this case. Just a store that sold the hat. Almost every hat store that sold Stetson had the option of a debossing (although that might have required a minimum order).

Pretty cool that it is from Filson though!

Is that a yellow tag? That would be rare. A great hat, regardless. You've motivated me to wear a Penn Craft today.

It is a yellow stamp, why is that rare? In 1924 the store was no longer at the address on the band so it has to be before then. Nice Penn Craft by the way.

Most of those tags are red and orange. A red and yellow is not seen very often. I wish I knew if the yellow had some special meaning.
