Filson Cruiser Vest

Last season I purchased a Filson cruiser vest from Ben Meadows,A great piece of clothing when a jacket is not needed. It has plenty of pockets, pencil, pen, compass, etc, well made and comfortable. When we have a cool morning here in NY state it fits the bill with a Pendleton shirt or Duofold undershirt under a flannel.I find it great for hiking, carrying around my 35mm rangefinder equipment, binos etc.For the money I think its a great vest.Thanks.

fI have a gray wool filson vest that I wear all winter. When I come home from work I take off my tie and jacket and slip on the vest. It provides just the right amount of warmth and keeps my work shirts from getting spots.

The wool vest is still on my list from last year. I intend to get one this year, having used my wool cruiser all winter.

Filson rules...

Especially the traditional Made in USA line. Not sure about some of the newer imports. Too bad an old-line company had to start catering to yuppies. I have a double mackinaw, a wool vest, (both inherited free from a co-worker who outgrew them) a traveler vest, a rain jacket, plus wool socks in various weights. Might as well have the best.

I love Filson stuff, and I have quite a bit of it. I have the vest, and I wear it as a layer under coats like the Filson Klondike coat. I do wish they made one cut like my Carhartt insulated vests,to offer more neck protection-this is my only gripe with it.
