Whilst searching for phtographs of 'Oxford Bags' I stumbled across a number of UK fashion photographs that might be of interest for reference:

Two Types, i didn't notice this thread before.

i wonder if young man 1939 is wearing a belted back ? going by the pleated pockets i imagine so.

the last photo actually makes plus fours look cool !

Oh for the days when one could find matching sweaters/jumpers and stockings for your plus fours...
