Troy Lambert squeezed his arms into the flight jacket that once protected him from the bitter South Korean winters. Tugging the zipper, he slowly stuffed his belly inside the dusty green coat he had not tried on in more than 50 years.
Troy Lambert, 83, models the uniform he wore more than 50 years ago as an Army pilot during the Korean War.

"Good goodness," said the Batesville, Miss., resident barely able to lift his arms. "I can't believe I was ever this small."

The jacket Lambert wore as an Army pilot during the Korean War now has a few moth holes. And somewhere between 1953 and 2009, the coat's sheen faded like the fragile peace between the United States and North Korea.

Both Rod Taylor and Hugh Marlowe wear G-1 jackets when they rocket into the future in the movie World Without End.
A third crew member wears an A-2. All in color and cinemascope.

Photos of some flight jackets worn in the ongoing Ukraine situation. I won't comment on "politics" since this forum isn't the place.

Couple of interesting designs there. The old US CWU type looks in evidence (as with the MA1 before it, I believe there are a lot of forces around the world have subcontracted or copied the design). The leather ones are interesting - reminiscent of the PRC Air Force leathers we discussed on here a year or two ago. I wonder if, similarly, these come in Winter / lighter variants. The fur collar model in your last shot looks bulkier, perhaps it's a heavier jacket like a B15, whereas this one is more akin to an A2:

All the pictures I have seen of a Russian wearing this jacket feature this particular officer. My guess would have been a one way ticket to the Gulag in commie times:D.

He's Colonel Yuliy Mamchur of the Ukrainian air force (ARTICLE). Here he is wearing one of those leather jackets, so these jackets must be associated with pilots since he is supposedly a former fighter pilot.
