Today is my Mother's birthday. She would have been 94 years old. Hard to believe she would be that old.

She's been gone over 22 years now, but I can still "hear" her voice. She was a good Mother, who always there whenever I needed her. My earliest memory is of my Mother singing to me when I was little. I remember that like it was yesterday.

We had a lot of fun growing up. Everything was an adventure for my Mother. She approached life with the excitement of a child. When I had children of my own, she spent time with them. We took trips together and enjoyed life to the fullest.

When my Mother fell ill, she fought long and hard. I never heard her complain during her sickness. She always, even to the end, had a positive outlook. She always thought of others, and her last words to me were, "take care of your Daddy."

Yes, my Mother would be 94 today; but I'll always remember her as being young, healthy, and full of life. I know she wouldn't want it any other way.

My youngest grandson and I, out to eat at a vintage-type diner. My hat is a cheap Stetson jute that I don't remember the model name of, not sure what his is... His name for me is, "Pap". He is less than a year and a half old and has a limited vocabulary (at least that WE can understand ;)), but my daughter was wheeling him through a department store the other day and said he pointed to the shelf and hollered clear as a bell, "Pap! Hat!" and had to have this hat. He wore it through the store and got a little peeved when he had to take it off to run it through at the register.

At this rate, y'all may see him log on to the Lounge here in a few years!

Take care,
Regan
