Fellow G-1 collectors,
Just wanted to inquire as to what you think would be a fair price for a Cagleco G-1 in Excellent condition? Saw one on eBay and the asking price seems to be too high. Just wanted to know what is fair. Thanks for the counsel and advice.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Korean War era G-1 jackets are interesting, especially if patched up with emblems, nametags or blood chits of provenance.
Also, larger sized G-1’s (44, 46, and especially 48) are harder to find and usually command higher prices.
If the fur collar is as-new and the zipper and knits are original to that jacket l, then that would also increase the asking price.
Certain jacket manufacturers are rarer than others (for example a Korean War-era J.A. DuBow or Monarch).
I can’t say exactly what a Cagleco G-1 is really “worth”, but on eBay there are bargains to be found but also overpriced, mediocre products sold by overzealous sellers expecting top-dollar.
Good luck.

One question, Shipmates. Just acquired a Cagleco Sportswear G-1. Contract number is N383-28657A. Can anyone tell what year this contract number matches.....I assume it is sometime in the 1950s. Thanks so much.
Cheers,
Mike

I also have a Cagleco with the same contract #. Does anyone know how to get a reproduction label made. The one on the jacket is pretty tattered
