Do any of you ladies have a tumblr? I just signed in mostly for illustration stuff but also follow some vintage picture collections and would like to have some more focussing on 20s-50s. Here´s mine.

I abandoned my tumblr a little while ago - found it really difficult to get followers and I was fed up of seeing the same images over and over - I think especially with the fashion tumblogs that I was getting attention from I was getting a lot of teenagers and it just didn't interest me! I think that was mostly from photoshoots that I'd done and from the shop that I work at. With different contacts I think I'd give it another go though!

Your illustrations are lovely, that bunny lino-cut is absolutely gorgeous! Print's never anything that I've really had much patience with apart from screen-printing, but I'd definitely find it useful for work! (I work in a college art department)

Black Dahlia, I loved your lucite post- found it really informative and interesting. Is there any way I can follow your blog without getting every new post sent to my email in box, do you know?

Thank you for the compliment on my dress btw! Can't wait to get it!

Latest post: Etsy woes... a bit of a rant but might be familiar ground to some of you!

Hi Frenchy,

I figured it out and added the 'subscribe to feed' link on the main page of my blog. That way, you won't be plagued with pesky emails.

No, but I use Pinterest and loves it:

So useful for sorting and it help me keep track on where I find pictures, as I like to give picture sources in my blogpost. I've just a board to catalouge my patterns- much easier to look there than drag out my boxes and go through them. :)

Latest post: my latest love: reverse-carved lucite jewelry! Lots of eye candy here!

And Black Dahlia, yay! I will sign up now! Thanks! :D

Hi Frenchy,

I will check out that post right now! ;0 I too love lucite reversed carved jewellery, included it on my post about lucite a couple of weeks ago. Love collecting it!

My post today is about Fashion Icons, check it out.

And don't forget the prize giveaway, vintage gloves and earrings.

I've started following everyone's blogs via bloglovin'. I wanted to be able to keep track of everyone's posts. ;0

Ive started a new feature, recreating outfits from magazines, books, movies, etc. I had a ton of fun putting my first one together!

I see what you mean about getting followers. Initially I didn´t want to get a tumblr at all because I already have an illustration blog running but I´ve been reading more and more illustration tumblrs over the last few months so i figured I could as well sign in, follow them all directly and upload something. I wouldn´t use it for fashion purposes only.
And thank you! Linocut is fun but includes a lot of pain and blood ;)

@Isis 17th century fashion? I think I love you now :D

Oh. I love it! So much that I and a couple of friend have founded a 17th century society and I'm working on my first dress. :D

Ok, I pack my things and move to Sweden. Now! ;) I hope you´ll show the dress when it´s done? I can´t even imagine sewing a (fancy) dress from that period. Too much work. But so beautiful...

Welcome! ;)

Well, I have been doing 18th century for 12 years, so it's more of a branching out... :D
