Nowhere near NYC. It would kill all the hippies there.

White dog refers to new make whiskey. It has no color, as it is unaged, thus white dog. Perhaps distillers use it more than the public.

It really depends on what it is made from. Corn is ok and so is rye but the other grains make pretty lousy white dog for my tastes. The Irish straighten that out by aging the white dog in barrels for many years---not to mention triple distillation.

You might be surprised. Some masters like old Popcorn Sutton made shine that was palatable. It might burn your lungs out but it was palatable.
