While searching Sam Cooke songs on YT this came up:

I really don't think this is actually legal. This isn't the 'What are you listening thread'..young Lady!...unless you are directing this toward Flipped Lid in costume...then I think you may have have tipped the decanter a little too much into the cut glass tumbler in your excitement. What say you..??:dizzy::wacko:

I would say the latter is much more likely than the former. I'm a little fuzzy regarding all the goings-on of that particular evening, but I'm relatively certain that none of the women there were overcome with lust at the sight of a fat boy in a goofy costume.

I'm flabbergasted that someone in Toronto knows how to play euchre. Virtually everyone in Indiana plays, but I have seldom run into people from outside of Indiana that know how to play. Do a lot of people in Ontario play euchre? We play mostly single deck euchre with two pairs of partners.

I never thought of euchre as a regional thing... Yes, lots of people I know in Ontario play. My mother and father used to be quite good and taught me how, and most everyone in my boyfriend's unit at the Navy are experts. In fact, we played a game last night the same way you play, and there is a competitive tournament to take place in November.

Compared to these guys, I'm an amateur. The Commanding Officer told me last night that I had better shape up my game before the tournament, or I don't get any rum lol

I rented it at a costume shop. The shop has what seems like a mile of racks full of costumes. I think they do a lot of business with the local theater groups. It's a pretty good racket. It cost me $35.00 to rent the hat and cape for one night.
That is really nice to have something like that for finding something costume wise. We have ZERO places like that where I live. Of course, there are a few people around here, that look like they are in costume all year long.....(weeeeeeeeeeeeeee) hahahahahahaah!

I only play cards like that for fun, and never take it as serious as some people do. I have seen teams that play in competition (they don't really win anything worth sneezing at) and if someone makes a mistake, you'd think they had offended GOD the way everyone acts! I don't like that sort of pressure, takes the fun out of playing.

Ahh I know, I hate that too. That's why I like playing with the Navy - Even if they're on the other team, they'll help you out, and the games are always a ton of laughs. :)

My formula of talking about lipstick and pencil skirts more often has worked ;)

A real traditional Navy game is Acey-deucey.
