I say ‘near mint’ because even though it looks like it may never have been worn, I scrutinized it in bright lighting and found two extremely minor marks (please see photos). Other than that, it looks pretty much like a new jacket. I have seen jackets with much more wear called “mint.” (I kinda hate that…”mint” should mean MINT!)
1970s (?) era double rider style, Black Leather with black quilted lining; typical four-pocket design, snap down collar and lapels, snap down epaulets and half belt. Pocket bags are all in perfect shape, black synthetic blend type material. Made in USA. Main zipper is a large chrome Ideal; sleeve zips are YKK with vintage style pulls.
The two slight imperfections I found were:
- A very small scuff on the underside of the right sleeve cuff
- A teeny white mark under the left arm.
I would say it fits true to size for a 42, and is fairly roomy in the shoulders, chest and waist, for a vintage MC jacket. It does however, have a moderately short hem (but not so short as some older 1950s era MC jackets I’ve worn). The sleeves are cut perfectly trim, imo, with nice crisp armholes, roomy enough for comfort, but no excess material to look sloppy. The shoulder vents work wonderfully when reaching forward.
Please see measurements below (in Inches/mm):
Chest, pit-to-pit, zipped: 23.5/600
Waist: 21/540
Shoulder-to-Shoulder seams, at top across back: 20.5/520
Sleeve, straight down outside, from top center shoulder seam to cuff: 23.5/600
Sleeve from center of neck (like dress shirt): 33.75/860
Hem down rear (without Collar): 24.5/620

For fit reference, I am 172cm tall (just under 5’8”) with a long torso (29” leg inseam), so the jacket looks rather short with T shirt untucked. I’m about 225 pounds in these photos, and can zip up the jacket fine, if a bit of a snug fit. At 215 pounds or under, it would be perfect.
I’ve had a few of these jackets over the years, and this is the nicest one I’ve owned by far. When I’m a few pounds less it fits me perfectly, so I hate to sell it, but I need to thin the herd, so up it goes… looking for $90 plus shipping on this one.
