I recently placed an order for the Wesco Mr. Lou engineers in black.. I did it through the Wesco website.. as of now no indication of when I might get them, the initial run sold out pretty fast and I "heard" they cant/arent making more currently because they don't have the buckles.

Just received the shipping info... so these arent as sold out as I thought.. Tuesday is shaping up to be a boot day

That's one obvious solution. The other option might be to go for something like a pair of Trickers, a very high end, traditional English country-shoemaker now also doing bike boots for Wesco/Redwing type money.
I'd have thought any of the boots here - https://www.motolegends.com/boots?Brand=Trickers or these https://www.kentandcurwen.com/collaborations/trickers/kc-x-tricker-s-biker-boot-k40p2e100499.html, or even: https://www.trickers.com/uk/sheene-bobd-c.html

would be viable if you think you might be able to get away with an engineer boot, these being that much closer to something a little dressier.

Alternatively, the TCX Metropolitan comes in much cheaper in most suppliers:

Somewhere in the middle price wise are Helstons - 'the French Lewis Leathers' - who do a range of boots that are very much designed to not look too 'biker' off the bike - http://www.helstons.net/chaussures-homme-femme/chaussures-homme.html/ Most of these sell in the UK at least for in and around the price of a pair of Iron Rangers, but unlike the latter the entire Helstons range are ECE safety certified, so there's no compromising safety for style.

Wow. Edward FTW! Thanks so much man, excellent suggestions and some great looking boots! I haven’t ridden in about 15 years and don’t have anything rugged anymore style wise so the suggestions for alternatives are a huge plus. Budget for these is pretty high since I was trying to get multi use/purpose out of them so I have more options which is great. Many thanks again, google wasn’t nearly as helpful!
